The East Bay Regional Park District is a leader in the  HPHP United States initiative, working to reintegrate human, environmental and ecological health into the mission of public parks. As the largest regional park district in the nation, the District has worked closely with the U.S. National Parks Service, national and regional park industry member agencies and other global organizers to promote the use of parks as a pathway to health. Through the HPHP program, the District is working on many fronts to support public health.
