Open House

Our open house schedule and wedding fairs for 2021 are suspended at this time due to restrictions per the public health orders for Alameda and Contra Costa Counties due to COVID-19. Please continue to check our website for updates to these policies. You may also call our Rental Facilities Office at (510) 544-3164 or email brazil@ebparks.org if you would like to discuss amenities, rental options, or with any questions you may have about our Indoor Facilities.

Rental Fees


You may hire a caterer from the Approved list or choose the non-catered option. If you choose the non-catered option you may not use an outside caterer or have any hired staff. Your unpaid volunteers will be required to attend an orientation. You will pay an additional fee for the ability to use the non-catered option. Events that end after 7pm, must be catered.


Reservations for the Temescal Beach House can be made beginning the first Monday in January for the next calendar year. All reservations at the Temescal Beach House require an initial payment to secure the date. This initial payment will be applied towards the total balance owed. For all time blocks, a $100 initial payment is due at the time of reservation. If a reservation is cancelled more than 180 days in advance, $50 of the initial $100 payment is refundable. Full payment is due 180 days before event date. For reservations made under 180 days, full payment is due at the time of booking. Please review the fee sheet or speak to a Reservations Agent for the cancellation policy once full payment is made.

To search for available dates, you can use the online Facility Search. Under “Facility Type”, click the “Indoor Facility” check box to filter the results. 

You may also call the Reservations Department at 1-888-327-2757, option 2 (9am-3pm PST, M-F) and a Reservations Agent will be able to assist you.

Driving Directions

Temescal Beach House (Building) is located in the Temescal Regional Recreation Area near the intersection of Hwy 13 and Hwy 24 in Oakland between Broadway Terrace and Keith Avenue/Broadway.

By Car

  • From eastbound Highway 24 in Oakland:
    Exit at Broadway. At the light, make a wide left turn onto Broadway and immediately bear right. DO NOT go under the freeway. Follow Broadway approximately one mile to the Temescal parking area on the right.
  • From westbound Highway 24 in Oakland:
    If you are approaching from the Walnut Creek area, go through the Caldecott Tunnel in the RIGHT LANE of the right tunnel. As you exit the tunnel, take the Tunnel Road exit, then turn left onto the freeway overpass (Caldecott Lane), turn right onto Broadway. Proceed .7 mile to the Park entrance on the left.
  • From northbound Highway 13 in Oakland:
    Take Highway 13 to Highway 24 East (toward the Caldecott Tunnel). Stay in the right lane. Take Old Tunnel Road exit, keep right (now on Broadway). Go .7 mile to the Park Entrance on the left.


There is a charge of $5.00 per car April through October.
