Here at Ardenwood, a glimpse into life on a family farm between 1890 and 1930 demonstrates the role farms play in cultivating foods, driving innovation, and supporting healthy communities of people, plants, and animals.

Join us on a half-mile walk in the peacefulness of a Victorian garden, through the hustle and bustle of the farmyard, and along the orchards and farm fields where every season brings something new. You will peek into the lives of George and Clara Patterson, who lived in the historic house on this farm, but will also learn about some of the many others who have lived here. You will have the chance to investigate the tangible remains of life on this farm a century ago, and the opportunity to consider how people’s relationships to this land have changed over time.
