  • No campfires outside of designated day-use picnic areas, campgrounds, or developed recreational areas.
  • Barbeques permitted only in designated day-use picnic areas, campgrounds, or developed recreational areas.
    Gas-fueled stoves are permitted in all designated areas.
  • No off-road driving. Drive only on designated roadways. No driving or parking on dry grass; heat from vehicle's undercarriage can start a fire.
  • Secure all tow chains; a dragging chain throws sparks that can start fires.

Castle Rock Swimming Pool

Located in Castle Rock Regional Recreation Area adjacent to Diablo Foothills Regional Park, the Castle Rock pool complex features a 30 feet by 70 feet chlorinated swimming pool and deck areas. In addition, the complex is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities, including the bathhouse and an accessible lift into the pool. Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty.

No pre-registration for swimming at Castle Rock. Drop-in ONLY.

Payment by cash (no bills over $20) or check (in the exact amount due) ONLY. No credit cards accepted for payment.

Swim Capacity

Once the swim facility capacity is reached, there will be no new entries allowed for the remainder of the day (or at the discretion of the Park Supervisor), for the safety of the public. Please take this into consideration when planning your visit.
