Visitors Advised to Minimize or Refrain from Active Outdoor Recreation Due to Unhealthy Air Quality


The Air Quality Index is currently at unhealthy levels.

The East Bay Regional Park District advises its visitors to minimize or refrain from active outdoor recreation due to the unhealthy air quality.

Should air conditions worsen, park restrictions, including temporary closures, may occur and service levels may be reduced for the safety of the public and our park staff. Any restrictions will be posted by 4pm for the following day on our website, www.ebparks.org, as well as via social media.

Parks Reopen After Closure Due to Wildfire Dangers; Six Directly Impacted Remain Closed


Regional Parks recently closed due to extreme wildfire activity have been REOPENED – except those directly impacted by fires, including Del Valle, Mission Peak, Morgan Territory, Ohlone Wilderness, Round Valley, and Sunol.

Some District parks and regional trails have been closed since Friday, August 21 due to high fire danger, unhealthy air quality and limited staff to assist in other potential cases of park emergencies. See the Fire Warning Information page for updates.
