Request for Public Records Information

Access to information concerning the conduct of the people’s business is a fundamental and necessary right of every person in this state. The East Bay Regional Park District (Park District) provides access to public records in accordance with California Government Code 7920.000 et seq. (California Public Records Act). The following guidelines are provided to ensure the public fully understands how to exercise their right to inspect or collect disclosable public records.

Much information regarding the Park District is available online. If you do not find the information you are looking for, you may request public records via mail, e-mail, or telephone. To avoid confusion and to make certain that you obtain the records you want, we recommend that you put your request in writing. Try to be clear as possible and include date limits on your request. As an alternative, you may use the form below to make your request.

You may e-mail requests to PublicRecordsRequests@ebparks.org, or telephone requests may be made by calling (510) 544-2005.

The Park District will provide the requested documents within 10 days or advise you, in writing, of any exemption from disclosure or delay in providing the information and when it will be made available.

The Park District does not charge for the time and costs incurred in searching for, locating, or collecting records. However, the Park District may charge for the actual costs of duplicating paper records in accordance with California Government Code Section 7922.530.
