Overview

This year, you choose how to participate in the 38th Annual California Coastal Cleanup—with us in person or from home! Whether you choose to do a self-guided neighborhood cleanup, or if you want to join staff on September 17th, you can make a difference for our shorelines.

  1. Register for our In-person Cleanup Event on Saturday, September 17th!

Join us in the parks for a cleanup! Registration is requested, but walkups will be allowed. If you are bringing a group of 10 or more people, please call us at (510) 544-2229 to secure your spot:
    • Crown Beach/ Crab Cove in Alameda
    • Del Valle Regional Park
    • Hayward Regional Shoreline
    • Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline
    • Point Isabel Regional Shoreline
    • Point Pinole Regional Park
    • Radke Martinez Regional Park
    • Temescal Regional Park
We will have supplies for you in the field. Simply show up, sign up, and help out! All trash will be collected at the end by our AMAZING Ranger staff.

  2. Clean the shore From Home!

Trash in the streets turns to trash on the beach once the rains begin. Not to mention, cleaning neighborhoods provides a valuable service to the coast and our communities alike! If you would like to stay closer to home, please see the guidelines below:
    • Register for the Self-guided Neighborhood Cleanup event.
    • Look through our volunteer resources and watch our safety video.
    • Assemble your own cleanup gear! Trash bags or buckets, Gloves, Face mask, A trash grabber or tongs, Sun protection, Close-toed shoes
    • Go out and pick up trash! Remember, you are our most important resource: safety first!
    • Throw any debris collected into your home trash bin.
    • Dispose of your gloves and thoroughly wash your hands
    • Take the simple survey and report your service
    • Post your pics on Social Media with the hashtags: #ebrpdcoastalcleanup
    • Have fun, and know that you made a difference!
