Tilden Little Farm Closed Until Spring 2014 for Sewer Construction Project

Construction fencing is up and erosion control measures are in place in northern Tilden Regional Park, where the Little Farm, Indian Camp parking lot, picnic areas, play structure, and restroom, and the Big Leaf picnic area and restroom will be closed during a major sewer project. Sewer construction work will take place on weekdays through February, 2014.

The Environmental Education Center (EEC) is expected to remain open to walk-in visitors Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some Tilden Nature Area trails may be closed or have alternate access. The best access to the Tilden Nature Area is from the end of Lone Oak Rd. in Tilden Park. Please watch for detour signs in the park.

In mid-November, the project will require a four-day closure of Central Park Drive and Canon Drive. Watch for detour signs. We regret the inconvenience to drivers.

Funding for the nearly $1M capital project is from Measure AA and Measure CC. It will improve safety and efficiency of sanitation services for park visitors.
