Ohlone Village Site Tour

Walk one-half mile through vibrant marsh habitat to a more than 2,000-year-old Ohlone village site. Learn about Ohlone cultures, past to present. Tour a reconstructed shade structure, pit house, and sweat house.

Dunes Restoration Day!

Help restore a small piece of the historic dunes as we remove invasive weeds and re-establish native plants! Bring water, gloves, hat, closed-toe shoes, dress for weather and prepare for general grubbiness. Must be in good physical condition for pulling vegetation.

Butterflies And Seals

Encinal Beach - Alameda

Join a short walk along a lesser-known section of shoreline where we’ll look for overwintering Monarch Butterflies and hauling-out Harbor Seals. Binoculars available for loan. Directions: From Webster St in Alameda.: Turn right on Central Ave., go 0.8 miles (just past Encinal High School) and take a sharp left onto the access road to Encinal Beach. Look for “Bay Trail” signs on the fence. 

Marsh Creek Salmon Stroll
