Amphibian Ramble

Sunol Regional Wilderness - Visitor Center - Sunol

’Tis the season for slimy critters! We’ll walk up to High Valley Pond to look for mating California newts, and learn about other amphibians who also live in the park. 12+yrs.

Volcanos, Labyrinths,Quarries And Newts

Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve - Skyline Staging Area - Oakland

Join us for a 2.5-mile moderate ramble exploring hidden labyrinths in historic quarries that have reshaped this beautiful volcanic landscape. Search skyward for eagles and below the surface for newts. Skyline Staging Area. Info: (510) 544-3187.

Bring the tots out for an exciting morning at the farm. Read a story, do some chores, and meet some farm friends. Little ones will enjoy a variety of activities at their own pace. We’ll meet rain or shine! (1-4 yrs.)

What goes squish and gets stuck to our shoes: mud! We'll search for animal evidence as we traverse muddy trails and have fun getting grubby! Rain boots recommended.
