Description

ENCINAL BEACH: The Alameda Recreation and Parks Department hosts cultural and natural history walks on Saturdays throughout the city during the warm months: https://www.alamedaca.gov/Departments/Recreation-Parks/Alameda-Walks. East Bay Regional Park District Naturalists lead featured walks.

Wildlife and History Walk. Watch and learn about some of Alameda’s prolific wildlife and fascinating history, first as we stroll from Encinal Beach to the U.S.S. Hornet, a Historic National Monument. From there, we’ll look for nesting Osprey while strolling to Waterfront Park, talking about past and future development in the area including future nature reserves.

No registration; drop-in.
