Parks Reopen After Closure Due to Wildfire Activity in Region

Regional Parks recently closed due to extreme fire activity in the region have been REOPENED – except those directly impacted by the fires, including Del Valle, Mission Peak, Morgan Territory, Ohlone Wilderness, Round Valley, and Sunol.

On Friday, August 21, all Regional Parks were temporally closed, except some shoreline parks and Regional Trails, due to high fire danger, unhealthy air quality, and limited availability of staff to assist in other potential park emergencies.

Closures in place before the extreme fire activity due to COVID-19 will remain in effect.
