Bring the whole family to the 18th annual Rail Fair featuring the historic steam locomotive "Ann Marie" (Cortez Mining Co #1), an 1890 Porter locomotive. Over the three-day Labor Day weekend, enjoy narrow gauge steam train rides, garden and model railroads including live steam locomotives, early day gas engines, the hobo game for children, special activities for children 6 and under, and live music.Food and drinks are available for purchase at the Farmyard Café.
Stop by the Railroad Museum at Ardenwood to see an exhibit with box cars, passenger cars and handcars. Visit the country kitchen to learn about 19th century farm-style cooking. Explore the farm and the beautiful Patterson House and gardens.
