Sukari Beshears Joins Park District Management

The East Bay Regional Park District announced that Sukari Beshears will join the executive staff at the agency as its new Human Resources Manager effective June 16. 

Ms. Beshears comes to the Park District from the City of El Cerrito, where she was the Human Resources Manager for the past four years. Previously she held positions in human resources with Solano and Contra Costa counties. She is active with numerous professional organizations including the Municipal Managers Association of Northern California. Ms. Beshears holds a bachelor of arts degree in management from St. Mary’s College in Moraga. Ms. Beshears is a resident of Pittsburg in Contra Costa County.

“We are very pleased to have Ms. Beshears join the Park District management team,” said Park District General Manager Robert E. Doyle. “She has a very deep and broad understanding of public agency HR including personnel issues, hiring, and providing training and leadership programs for staff.”

The East Bay Regional Park District provides services and employment in a wide variety of fields including park maintenance, nature education, police and fire services, park planning, wildlife biology and administrative support personnel. There are 739 regular positions annually - and over 300 seasonal positions at parks throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The Human Resources Division recruits and selects all regular, seasonal, and temporary employees. The Division serves in the areas of labor relations, negotiations and administration, job training and career development, workforce diversity, performance evaluations, classification and compensation review.
