14th Annual Historic Rail Fair Returns to Ardenwood Historic Farm


The 14th annual Rail Fair returns to Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont this Labor Day weekend. See antique steam locomotives “Ann Marie,” an 1890 steam porter engine, and “Antelope & Western #1,” an 1889 steam porter engine. Enjoy steam train rides, hand car rides, displays of garden railroads, model railroads, rail yard equipment, and more. Enjoy food, music, the Children’s Hobo game, and much more!!

Musical entertainment by the Diaspora Swamp Boys, the East Bay Stompers and the Apple Butter Brothers.

Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food at Dino’s at the Café. Tour the Victorian Garden, the historic Patterson House and meet the farm animals. Look for vintage farm equipment in the sheds and watch for blacksmith demonstrations!

Presented by the East Bay Regional Park District and the Society for the Preservation of Carter Railroad Resources (SPCRR) – a non-profit organization operating the Railroad Museum at Ardenwood.
