Free Summer Concerts at Contra Loma

In celebration of its 80th anniversary, the East Bay Regional Park District announced two free family-friendly outdoor concerts to be held July 18 and August 15 at Contra Loma Regional Recreation Area in Antioch. The park is located at 1200 Frederickson Lane.

The schedule each evening is as follows:
5:00 to 5:30 Family Program with entertainment – bring the kids and your picnic dinner!
Children’s activities, face-painting & more.

5:30 to 7:30 Family-friendly festive fun with ...
July 18:  Patrón  (Latin Jazz)
August 15:  Foreverland (Tribute to Michael Jackson)

Please note that while picnicking is encouraged, absolutely NO ALCOHOL is permitted at the park or event.

Patrón Latin Rhythms will celebrate summer with the sensational sounds of Latin music, with dashes of rock, mambo, R & B and funk. Percussion, guitar and a powerful horn section come together in a sweet and spicy blend that will get you moving.

Foreverland is an electrifying 14-piece band celebrating the legendary music of Michael Jackson. Foreverland’s four dynamic vocalists, powerhouse rhythm section, and slamming horn section recreate hits like “I Want You Back,” “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough,” “Smooth Criminal,” and “Thriller."

Parking will be free all day at the park, as each concert also coincides with the District’s “Free Third Fridays” series, in which swim entry fees and parking fees are waived throughout the Regional Parks.
