Objective

The East Contra Costa County Delta Atlas (Delta Atlas) provides a comprehensive understanding of the existing conditions, potential opportunities, and constraints within the East Contra Costa County Delta region. Using the Delta Atlas, the Park District can make informed decisions regarding acquisitions and planning for land protection and recreation in accordance with its mission to preserve a rich heritage of natural and cultural resources and provide open space, parks, trails, safe and healthful recreation and environmental education.

The Delta Atlas focuses on the Eastern Contra Costa County Delta shoreline comprising of lands roughly east of the Antioch Bridge to Bethany Reservoir.

The Park District compiled the current version of the Delta Atlas in 2019 and will periodically update the living document as projects in the region are undertaken and new developments are built.
