Fire & Lifeguard Services

The Fire Department is a branch of the Public Safety Division within the East Bay Regional Parks District that is comprised of the Fire Department and Lifeguard Services. The fire department manages emergency services including fire suppression, search and rescue, and pre-hospital emergency medical care. The Fire Department is also tasked with fire prevention and uses fuels reduction strategies to maintain safe and healthy parklands. Lifeguard Services provides public safety during recreational swimming, aquatic programs and public water safety education, including swim lessons, first aid training, and lifeguard training.
