About The Park
A pristine wooded canyon is protected in this 290-acre parkland near Merritt College in Oakland. Restoration is in progress along Rifle Range Creek along Leona Trail to reduce erosion and protect the riparian ecosystem. Dogs and humans are not allowed in the creek. Please keep dogs on a leash if they will not stay out of the stream.

Park Activities
The park is an ideal place for hiking, running, biking, dog walking, and similar activities.
Park Accessibility
The park has no wheelchair accessible facilities at this time.
To Reach The Park
Access is available from a staging area on Campus Drive off Keller Avenue east of Interstate 580 in Oakland, and from Merritt College. The college parking lot charges a fee and is closed on weekends. There are no developed facilities.
