The Park District has over 3,806 picnic tables for throughout its 65 parks. There are also 122 reservable group sites for groups of 35 to 500 people. A fee is charged for these services. Residents of Alameda and Contra Costa counties may make picnic reservations beginning on the first Monday in November, while resident groups outside Alameda and Contra Costa counties may begin making picnic site reservations on the first Monday in February. To make your reservations, call 1-888-EBPARKS (1-888-327-2757), press option 2, then 1, TDD (510) 633-0460.
Fires are permitted in barbecue pits or personal cooking equipment in designated picnic areas or irrigated turf areas only, placed at least 30 feet from flammable materials. Please do not place hot coals on the ground or in a garbage can. Dispose of hot coals or other burned fuel in barbecue pits or in provided hot coal disposal containers. Only firewood purchased in the park may be used.
Alcoholic Beverages are not permitted at pools, swim beaches or within 50 feet of paved roads, parking lots or posted areas, except for some reservable group picnic sites where alcohol is allowed by permit only. A Reservation Fee of $8 will be added to each reservation. Fees subject to change without notice.
