Homicide Investigation

On 12/30/2008, at approximately 0634 hrs, Berkeley Fire Department was dispatched to East Shore State Park on the report of a fire.  Upon arrival Fire Crews extinguished the fire and discovered the body of an adult male.  East Bay Regional Park District Police Dispatch was notified and Police units were dispatched to the scene. 

At this time the investigation is on-going and we are working with the Alameda County Coroner’s Office to identify the victim in this case.

We are asking that anyone who may have been in the area of West Frontage Rd, between Gillman St and University Ave, in the City of Berkeley on 12/20/08 around 0630 and saw anything suspicious in nature to contact the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department at 510 881 1833.
