The East Bay Regional Park District will oversee a two-section rehabilitation project on the Iron Horse Trail this summer in Danville. The major portion of the project will occur on a 0.7 mile section of trail running from Prospect Avenue north to Del Amigo Road. A second project includes a 750 foot section between Hartz Avenue and Sycamore Valley Road. Construction fences will be installed on Wednesday, July 11 and for the public’s safety, the trail will be closed at that time for the duration of the project, which should take approximately one month. Grade Tech Incorporated of Castro Valley has been hired by the Park District to complete the construction. All streets and parking lots will remain open with minimal impact to traffic. For more information on this project, please contact Park Supervisor, Louie Guzman, 925-687-3419.
