The Regional Parks Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit in support of the East Bay Regional Park District. In addition to working to provide "Access for All," the Foundation also operates the Park District's Membership Program.

Membership Updates for 2013
  • No price increases for Membership
  • Credit card purchases can only be made at the Regional Parks Foundation website, by phone (510) 544-2220, or at the District administrative headquarters
  • Same great benefits as in 2012
  • Temporary Membership Cards are no longer issued
  • Boat inspection fees will continue
  • Park closures may occur at various times throughout the year. Call ahead to find out park information or log onto ebparks.org/closure
  • No refunds and/or discounts will be issued due to park and/or lake closures.

Membership Benefits

  1. Personalized Membership Cards for each named individual.
  2. Unlimited Day-Use Parking for each cardholder.
  3. One annual dog pass (good for one dog).
  4. Free swimming during the swim season (children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a person at least 16 years of age).
  5. Free admission to Ardenwood Historic Farm on NON-event days.
  6. Subscription to Regional in Nature (an activities newsletter).
  7. Camping discounts: Camping Discounts: $10 off per night November-March and $5 off per night April-October on one campsite only. $8 camping
    reservation fee applies. Discounts will be honored first-come,
    first-served at the campground or reservations made by phone through the
    East Bay Regional Park District Reservations Department at (888)
    327-2757, option 2. Discounts will not be applied to online

Family Membership

Family Membership is good for up to two named individuals (16 years or older) and up to four children (ages 1-17) living in the same household. Family Membership cannot be used as Group Membership for child care centers, schools, or businesses.

Donor Circle Membership

As a Donor Circle Member, you can enjoy all the benefits of Family Membership in addition to assisting others. By becoming a Donor Circle Member, you will help underserved populations to have improved access to the Regional Parks. While all contributions made through Donor Circle Membership are directed to where the need is greatest, your donation helps send low-income kids to camp, provides the elderly with transportation to the Regional Parks, and gives disabled children the chance to catch a fish in one of the Park District's fishing lakes.

Created in 1969 to support the Park District, the Regional Parks Foundation (RPF) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit. The RPF's mission is to raise funds to provide broader public access, resource enhancement and preservation, and support for educational and recreational programs.

All Donor Circle Membership Packages, regardless of residency, include:

  1. One Family Membership Package for up to two named individuals and up to four children.
  2. Special invitations to both public and private events hosted throughout the Park District.
  3. The opportunity to help others enjoy the Regional Parks who might not otherwise have the chance.
  4. Donations above the cost of Family Membership are tax-deductible. This amount varies depending on residency within or outside of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The Regional Parks Foundation's Federal Tax ID # is 23-7011877.

How to Become a Member or Renew a Membership

Purchase or Renew Online

To purchase your Membership online, visit the Regional Parks Foundation website.

Purchase by Telephone

To purchase or renew a membership by telephone, please call (510) 544-2220. Once your application is received into the Membership Department, please allow 7-10 business days to process your Membership application and to receive your Membership Cards and your parking placards. You can begin using Membership benefits as soon as your Membership materials arrive in the mail.

Purchase by Mail

Download a membership application, or call us at (510) 544-2220. You may also email membership@ebparks.org for a Membership application. When your application is complete, simply mail it back with your check payment to: Regional Parks Foundation, P.O. Box 21074, Crestmont Station, Oakland, CA 94620, Attn: Memberships. Make checks payable to Regional Parks Foundation.

Once your application is received into the Membership Department, please allow 7-10 business days to process your Membership application and to receive your Membership Cards and your parking placards. You can begin using Membership benefits as soon as your Membership materials arrive in the mail.

Purchase at a Visitor Center or Park Entry Kiosk

You can become a member from any Regional Park entry kiosk or visitor center. For a list of visitor centers, click here. Only checks are accepted within the parks and are to be made payable to Regional Parks Foundation.

Once your application is received into the Membership Department, please allow 7-10 business days to process your Membership application and to receive your Membership Cards and your parking placards. You can begin using Membership benefits as soon as your Membership materials arrive in the mail.

Purchase at our Administrative Headquarters

If you are in the area, you can visit our administrative headquarters at 2950 Peralta Oaks Court in Oakland and purchase your Membership.
