Introduction to Archery

The East Bay Regional Park District is proud to offer this program taught by Redwood Bowmen Association; a non-profit organization that operates and maintains a 35-acre archery range in the EBRPD in the Oakland Hills.  This program includes 30 minutes of classroom lecture inside the club house review­ing safety, terminology, and a brief overview of recreational archery.  Followed by 90 minutes of shooting instruction and practice on our outdoor range. Equipment provided. 10+ yrs

Archery Range

• The Briones Archers range is located in Briones Regional Park. It is accessible off the Crescent Ridge Trail from the park's Bear Creek Road entrance (see map). Call (510) 785-2501 for information, or visit their web site at www.archeryweb.com/briones/.
• The Redwood Bowmen Association range is located inside the Redwood Bowl entrance off Skyline Boulevard of Roberts Regional Recreation Area in Oakland (see map). Call (510) 530-0400 for information.

Marksmanship Range

• The Chabot Gun Club is located in Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Enter the park at Marciel Road off Redwood Road in the hills above Castro Valley (see map). Visit the Chabot Gun Club's web site for information, or call (510) 569-0213.
