WEB PAGE IN DEVELOPMENT
After initial acquisition new land goes through a series of processes and public reviews. These studies and reports are reviewed and eventually accepted by the park board of Directors. They become the foundation and guidelines for park development. Below are abbreviations or definitions used in planning reports.
LUP - Land Use plan. This plan done once lays the foundation for all future development or planning
LUPA - Land Use Plan Amendment. Adds to or Amends previous plan(s)
Resource Analysis - Formal plans approved before the development of the LUP report template.
Neg Dec - Negative Declaration report
MND - Mitigated Negative Declaration
NOD - Notice Of Determination
NOE - Notice of Exemption
EIR - Environmental Impact Report, follows federal Guidelines
CEQA - California Environmental Quality Act, now supersedes stringent form of the federal EIR report
Checklist Amendment - An abbreviated process to quickly open new park lands to the public. Not applicable to many parks.
