Fire Danger and Weather Information
The East Bay Regional Parks district is divided into five Fire Danger Rating Areas (FDRA): West, North Central, North East, South West, and South East. The weather, fuels and other conditions that determine fire danger within each FDRA are generally the same. Weather data gathered from these areas by Remote Automated Weather Stations (RAWS), indicated on the map by yellow pins, are used to determine the likelihood of a damaging and dangerous fire.
