When requesting closure information to be posted on the District website, please include the flowing information in the following order and format. Examples have been provided below, as well.

The Wildcat Creek Trail will be temporarily closed from October 17 through November 7, 2012, from the west end of the trail, 1/4 mile from the Wildcat Marsh Trail Observation Platform (staging area), to Parr Blvd., in Richmond, CA. This temporary, three-week closure of the West Contra Costa Water District trail section is for the annual sludge pond removal. It will involve heavy truck traffic and temporary removal of a fence section.
South Park Drive is closed to automobile traffic from November 1 to April 1, 2012 to protect migrating and breeding newts. Note that bicycles are allowed, although bicyclists are asked to proceed slowly and avoid newts crossing the road. Also note that dogs may be off leash on South Park Drive during the November 1 - April 1 closure, but they must be under voice control and owners must carry a leash.
